Vintage studded document box with hair-on rawhide is ca. 1880s. This vintage studded document box is handsome and makes a classic western statement. Inside this box is lined with paper. The brass tack studding on this trunk is fancy in an all over design. The lid of the box has the initials "R+S" in brass tacks, for a vintage monogrammed style.
A terrific decorator piece to add rustic richness to any space! This document box is in good condition, both original iron handles are intact. The backside rawhide is split due to age, but the integrity of the box is fine.
