
Frankoma Prairie Green glazed pottery Wagon Wheel pattern cups and saucers, set of 8. The backside signature is stamped 94C dating the cups in production between 1942 and 1988, 40+ years producing this popular style. Great looking, very handsome alone, or with a larger collection. These vintage Frankoma Wagon Wheel pattern cups and saucers are in great condition, only one mug has a chip along the rim of the base (as can be seen in the photo) does not detract from function, or look.

Frankoma Pottery began in earnest in 1936, started by John Frank an Art and Pottery teacher at the University of Oklahoma. The name Frankoma married John Frank's name with the last letters in Oklahoma. Wagon Wheel pattern is the signature Frankoma Pottery dinnerware line and touted by Frankoma as being, 'In memory of the Pioneers who built our Democracy. The pattern was first introduced in 1942. Frankoma Pottery forged the way for colored dinnerware, which until that point had been primarily stoneware. Frankoma Pottery closed its operations plant in 2004.
