This pipe stand is vintage Duk-It brand and has duo silver-tone horseshoes on a walnut base. The Duk-It brand was founded in Buffalo, NY in 1930. The company developed a wide variety of tobbaco products, like this pipe stand, which they marketed and sold primarily to gift shops. Collectible products that relate directly to tobacco are called: tobacciana. Today we understand that tobacco presents numerous health hazards, but these products come from a time before we knew that. The stigma associated with products devoted to smoking presents a kind of ironic collectibility of these tobacciana items. Very retro ranch house. This pipe rack is in excellent condition.
