Covered wagon vintage TV lamp in olive green ceramic glaze. When television was new, the use of a TV lamp became the accessory of choice to help reduce eye strain. In the early days, television was typically watched in the dark due to the dimly lit screens, TV lamps added a bit of indirect light to the room. At the time it was thought that the light from the television screen could be harsh and that balancing the light would be better for our eyes. This is how the TV lamp came into popularity, with indirect lighting that created a balanced glow, today we layer our lighting environments to get this overall balance in much the same way.
This darling vintage TV lamp lights from the backside creating a nice glow, takes a standard size bulb and is in perfect condition.
